Server Collocation
OCOSA Communications provides reliable and always available Data Center Services nation-wide. We operate a secure Data Center with Multiple connections to Tier 1 carriers that have diversified paths into the facility and network. We are located in downtown Tulsa, Oklahoma where Fiber Optics is essential.
Our Data Center is one of a kind. It was constructed from the ground up back in 2004 with various additions maintained every year.
Currently we have space underground.

HVAC
10 tons of cooling sustained either by our air-cooled or our chilled water Liebert HVAC units. Our chilled water is fed by TRIGEN. By having air-cooled and chilled water units it adds a complete level of redundancy in the event of a disaster. Our facility maintains a constant temperature between 65-68 degrees Fahrenheit.
POWER
Our facility receives 3 Phase (208V) power from the central power bus in downtown Tulsa. We have a facility-wide APC UPS with N+1 redundancy that will protect customers from power surges, (dirty) non-conditioned power, and transferring from normal power to generator power in the event of an extended power outage or dirty power situation. We have a dedicated 150kW Diesel generator with an auto transfer switch for extended power outages. We have a generator tap to the alley for extended power outages; this also serves as a backup to our backup.
FIRE SYSTEMS
Our facility has a wet fire system in place to protect customer servers from fires.
SECURITY
Our facility has IP-based cameras that are monitored and recorded 24/7. The Data Center entrance requirements are that all visitors to the Data Center be escorted and required to sign the log documentation. Some entrances require dual security which may be standard commercial key, electronic combination pad interfaced with a system, and or Biometric systems at all critical access points.
CABINET / CABLE MANAGEMENT
Our facility has overhead Chatsworth ladder racking systems used to efficiently route our fiber, copper, and power to the customer. We use APC 42U Netshelter cabinets with both vented or glass doors. If requested you can have a cabinet with exhaust fans placed to further manage heat loads. Our cabinets were placed in design with the whole “hot aisle” “cold aisle” concept in tact.
NETWORK
Our fully redundant network is configured to be uninterruptible. Our core routing speaks BGP allowing for uninterrupted communications. Our switching utilizes HSRP routing for an extra layer of redundancy in our physical network. Our network is powered by carrier class Cisco routers and switches with redundant processors, power supplies, and hot swappable spares ready for critical outages. We utilize the IEEE 802.1Q VLAN standard when implementing customer circuits. We currently have Fast-E connections from Cox and TWTC. We currently maintain a dual fiber optic ring IEEE 802.3z standard (Gig-E) network between the Kennedy Building and the 320 Building.
NEUTRAL CARRIER ACCESS
We feel it is your choice who you purchase your bandwidth from. Currently our building is fiber lit by SBC / ATT (OC-12), MCI / UUNET / Verizon (OC-12), Cox (OC-48), and Time Warner Telecom (Gig-E). We pulled fiber and / or copper to all carriers cross connects.
