1 Locate the WS_FTP Program group. Click the WS_FTP95 LE icon to continue.
 
2 WS_FTP will open to the Session Properties screen.
  • Enter OCOSA in the Profile Name.
  • If you are uploading your personal webspace files, enter home.ocosa.com in the Host Name/Address field.
  • If you are uploading your business website files, enter www.yourdomain.com (replace yourdomain.com with your domain name) in the Host Name/Address field.
  • Enter your username in the User ID field.
  • Enter your password in the Password field.
  • Make sure the Anonymous check box is not checked.
  • Make sure the Save Pwd check box is checked.
Click the Startup tab to continue.

  • Make sure the Initial Remote Site Folder is empty.
  • If you use a certain folder on your hard drive for your website files, enter it here (e.g. c:\website\)
  • Make sure the Initialize Command, Local file mask, and Remote file mask fields are empty.
Click the Advanced tab to continue.

  • Make sure Passive transfers is not checked.
  • Make sure Remote Port is set to 21.
NOTE: You may need to check this box if you are connecting through a firewall.

Click the Firewall tab to continue.

  • Make sure Use Firewall is not checked.
Click OK to continue.

You will now connect to the FTP site.
 
6 WS_FTP's main screen will now appear. You will see your local hard drive in the left pane, and your folder on the remote server in the right pane.

Click ChgDir button to continue.
 
7 Enter the path to your website files in the field provided. Click OK to continue.  
8 You will now see your website files in the left pane. Select the files that you wish to upload to the server (when selected they will appear highlighted in blue as shown) and click the --> button to transfer the files to the server.  
9 Once the upload is complete, you will see your files in the right pane.

To download files from the server to your hard drive, repeat this procedure, but go backwards -- that is, select the files on the right, then click the <-- button.
